NDA lift coming soon?

I just wanted to point this out this snippet of a quote from MBJ.

I think that bodes well for a NDA lift coming up fairly soon and then hopefully for Open Beta not long afterwards. Admitted, "the next few weeks" is a bit vague and more or less confirms the time frame that a few of us have been speculating on for a while, but nice to have even a vague time frame from Mythic.

We heard the NDA was going to be lifted soon a few weeks ago. Expect it off something in August unless things go horribly wrong.

It sounds like they're waiting for Guild Beta feedback. If the guilds find something terribly broken, the NDA stays. If the guilds are happy, the NDA drops.

So you figure 2-3 weeks minimum before the guilds give solid feedback and Mythic can decide.

Yes, I remember, but this actually seemed to mention somewhat more solid of a time frame, where before it was even more vague. I thought that it bore mentioning especially in light of all of the people who are concerned about the cuts that have been made.

We should be getting a lot more information soon and those who are rethinking their CE preorder may have a chance to try Open Beta sooner rather than later (though I don't know how that could/would affect their ability to cancel their order). I hope that this information is at least somewhat helpful to some people.

I wouldn't be suprised at all to get a NDA lift at the end of August or early September. Then again, I'm just speculating.

Well said, extremely well said as a matter of fact.

Everyone should also please keep in mind what I've been saying for years, look at when a developer lifts the NDA before launch to see how much faith they have in the game's success. If we don't lift ours before well before launch, hell, I wouldn't buy our game either or at least I'd wait till the reviews came out. This policy has never failed me.

I agree 100%.

An NDA lift is a sure fire way of knowing the developers are happy with the game as from then on anything bad/buggy comes straight out from angry players without the developers having any chance to explain/sort the problem.

Haha, excellently said! Oh, and thanks for semi-veiled heads up.

Then I'm sure we'll see it long before launch

An NDA lift could see a start of Open Beta not too long after. It'd make sense (at least to me)
