Leveling guide 1-40

Hello and welcome to my personal Warhammer online leveling guide! After spending alot of time in game myself and having talked with a level 40 of almost each class I feel I can share what I know with the community and help you max your rank the fastest way possible!.

Levels 1-16:
These are the fun/easy levels simply quest in your storyline you should easily hit 16 in T2.

at level 16 you will have noticed a pretty signifigant slow down

Levels 16-21:
Finish the remaning T2 quest and grind out the PQ in all the chapters (Go back to ones you skipped if you can still get exp from them). Always keep yourself queued for a scenario.

Levels: 21-26
Now the game feels like it is at a standstill. You have a couple of choices you can progress into the T3 area and start doing quest their (However you will soon be sent to fight yellow and red con mobs which have signifigan down time between pulls). Instead you have 4 choices.

Option A: Go to the flight master and fly to the other T2 areas and do all the quest you can (While being queued for scenarios). Many level 40 players agree that this IS NOT the best option since you will spend a very LARGE portion of your time running to various quest areas hurting your exp per hour.

Option B: Grind away at the first PQ quset in T3

Option C: If you go back into tier 2 you can find the repeatable quest to kill spiders for their silk or w/e. You can mass grind on these mobs and turn the quest in for a nice exp reward rinse and repeat that step.

Option D: The best option is AoE grinding (Mind you that you need to be an aoe class or have a guild group with one): Simply pull as many mobs as you or your group can handle and aoe to your delight.

Levels 26-40
Ugh this is the point in the game were you want to smash your head through a window. Quest exp is terrible and MANY MANY MANY people have found.

Your best option is AoE grinding (Solo or with a group) or grinding out PQ quest (While being queued for scenarios. Quest exp now is seemingly worthless for the amount of time you have to run and as such it severly hampers your xp/per hour.

Grind chapter my chapter till your max infl in each area while doing those REPEATABLE quest that let you kill xyz mob for an experience turn in....

If you really don't mind questing, the best way is to actually take turns doing the quests in each racial tier's chapter.

I did this for the entire game, am rank 35 and still have Chapter 18, 19, 20, 21 and 22 quests to do in all racial tiers. I have no doubt I will be 40 before I get them done.

Problem is questing is slow. You could hit max rank (which is all that matters) by grinding those chapters and not doing the quest. Questing hits your xp/hour hard, with the run time back and forth between areas.

Or you could, you know, enjoy the game.

Edit: Just noticed you mentioned 'exp/hour' multiple times. Do you have ADD by any chance?

Leveling Guide:

1-6 - Queue up scenarios as often as possible as you try to get newbie equipment and do a few newbie quests you can squeeze in between.

7-8 - Move to secondary/tertiary areas while queing up scenarios as often as possible. Mix in a few quests if you have any free time.

9-12 - Park yourself in town and do scenarios non-stop. You will dominate scenarios and get a lot of rewards for it.

12-15 Familiarize yourself with T2. Take some quests there work on some PQs when scenarios are not popping. Keep queuing them though.

15-18 Really more of the same. Work on quests and PQs during down time, but keep those queues going to fill in the gaps. Always jump in a scenario when it comes up.

19-22 camp in town and run scenarios non stop.

Repeating ones self reinforces his or hers statements and focus.

Do you actually play a white lion? If so I feel bad for you god the pet ai sucks so bad. Isn't brutal watching your lion chase a player at what feels like 70% speed?

He's 35 less than 2 weeks into the game. I'd say his guide blows yours away, and has the added benefit of actually playing the whole game.

I've reached Lv27 and I have the exact problem that the OP mentioned.

-Too much EXP to level.
-Quest/Mob EXP doesn't scale

I'm faced with the choice of either simply grinding endless hordes of mobs for hours or stab myself in the face and play endless Tor Anorc (cause its the only scenerio anyone ever plays), which is such a badly designed scenerio I'm wondering what the creators were smoking when they came up with it.

Lv1-16 was absolutely perfect in terms of PvE/RvR/Scenerios, but for the past few days, I've been playing less and less because it just feels like a chore just to advance that for the first time today, I'm really feeling like I want to cancel my subsciption and spend my time doing something else cause its just not fun anymore.

Which is a real pity because I really want to believe that once I get out of the hellhole thats tier3 it'll start becoming fun again.

needs an update since you can queue for all 3 scens now.

1. get a premade and steamroll pugs in scenarios. Lame but it's the best way. Mythic please fix this.

2nd choice would be aoe inf grinding between scens with your group.

Actually at T4, or more precise, chapter 17's, the quest xp is decent again, didnt 'need' to grind, do pq's, scenarios or anything off the chapter quests and hit 40 before had finished all chapter 22's. T3 was slower and ran out of quests and whatnot. Mobs at T4 might be couple levels higher than you but they only hit a bit harder, just as easy to kill, my runepriest just steamed through np.

And if you feel XP from mobs is not good make sure you kill mobs of your level or higher. Same level mob at around rank 32 gave ~600, 1level higher ~700, 1 level lower ~300. PQ groups with decent group that can AoE should do PQ's that have mobs same level or higher than your highest player since that is how it counts group xp.

SE got in 3 days before CE and the end of your guide is crap.....I was 29-30 on sunday and now I'm 34......all I've been doing is 2 chapters per racial area and then moving on and repeating the cycle over and over....I get one level in about 6-7 hours.

Just so you all know, in the new update, AOE grinding is taking a hit in XP, theyre reducing the amount of XP you gain from killing mass mobs within moments of each other.
