Crash to desktop and sound drivers
Hi guys,
I'm getting crash to desktop after 30 minutes gameplay or more. I think whats causing it is my sound drivers being out of date. (I haven't ever updated them.) But I don't know what driver to install for my sound card. Could anyone please give me a direct link to download the newest driver for my sound card please? Thanks guys Heres the dxdiag info http://img117.imageshack.us/my.php?image=srle3.jpg Name: C-Media Rear Panel Audio Name: cmudax.sys Version: 5.12.0001.0008 (English) |

If you suspect your sound drivers, try playing without sound for awhile.
If its onboard, you can probably even disable it in the BIOS for a bit. I tried that, still CTD/BSOD, so I ruled it out as a possible cause. |

Thanks for quick reply, I have played with the sound disabled since I installed the game, so I guess it can't be out of date sound drivers. Silly question but, how would I know if it's onboard, would it just say?

If you plug the speakers into a jack on the same back panel as your keyboard/printer connectors, its onboard sound, as opposed to a sound card which would be on one of the expansion slots.
