Congrats to Order for first push to enemy FORTRESS

I know there are other threads regarding this event; but I wanted to offer my congratulations to everyone involved last night. Everyone worked hard on locking these zones down.

Rivensplit of Arcanium was in Tier 3 leading a warband around which helped us push those numbers when we needed them most. The Order guilds were working together and we had some amazing tactics going and coordination.

Drokgar was out in force as per usual, Paribus had his Foo enterauge and Enigma was styling. (If I forgot anyone please mention in thread you were there and how you contributed. There were a lot of people showing up after the first lock, we had lots of help). Seven Cor was also on hand helping Enigma. We had some Eleets, and I remember seeing Midnight in the final push.

We did Order proud and got a "Server First". Congrats Order; in the face of being outnumbered by Destro on the server, we showed them we're for serious.

Picture time!

Hope someone on the Order side has a good picture of the "Invisible Wall" as it came to be referred to as.

Also, maybe destro can give some insight as to their side of the story: When did you guys come into the Lord Room? Seem to us that after we entered the room, a few champs spawned, we downed a few waves of champs and then the lord finally spawned. At about 50% you guys finally started popping outta nowhere. I'm sure most of the problems had to do with the severe limitation on how many characters could be rendered at one time.

Excellet screens, Rivensplit

I believe Enigma was around behind the fortress at that time during those screens stopping reinforcements from getting in =) (initial push)

Yea you guys did a fine job in Black Crag and Butcher's Pass.

I was screamin my head off at Destro trying to get the Warband's coordinated. We had a ninja attempt on the South Keep going when you guys locked Black Crag.

I hated how Destro's favorite excuse was "We can't do anything they're camping the warcamp!" when it was extremely obvious on the map and from where we rez'd that there is another road to the north that lead out of the warcamp and into the RVR lake that was never camped.

I also pity the fools who kept joining those scenario maps and losing, I was almost tempted to stop our ORVR attempts and queue up so we could stop the hemhoraging of points.

Destro had some pretty awful inter-warband communication and a lot of people with mis-guided goals. When we should have been rallying at South Keep we had 15+ people at South BO taking that instead of making a stand of the keep.

Even on the Fortress nobody could seem to grasp the logic in trying to slow you guys down at the gates, we had like 6 people actually trying to interfere with your door attempts, everyone else was just huddled inside the Fort. Lord room, making their first and last stand in there.

I wasn't there for the actual attempt since I crashed but I'm curious what room you guys actually fought him in.

We fought him in the Lord room.

About camping the warcamp, we did indeed do that. We were discussing how Destro might go around behind us to the other RvR zone entrance; but figured time was of the essence and we were focusing on grabbing that south BO.

Destro came back after grabbing a few BO's, we got a little disorganized in that maze in Black Craag, but eventually found our footing again.

The charge south to the fortress was something I think i'll remember for a long time. Such a huge push by Order and everyone was whooping with glee.

Hi,

Can I add something here -

This is what happened on our side. We were all in the Lord Room, attempting to make a stand at the Lord itself, when we waited and waited for Order to run up the ramp.

What happened INSTEAD of Order running up the ramp en masse, as we were expecting, someone shouts "THEY PULLED THE LORD THROUGH THE FLOOR". From that point on, everyone rushes down the ramp, because all of a sudden, he had disappeared from our level.

After we pushed you guys back, everyone was muttering things like "OMG ORDER HAX".

Now I don't know how it looked like to you on your side, but from our perspective:-

1. No one on Order came up to the ramp to the Lord
2. The Lord suddenly disappeared from our level

I don't think it was an intentional exploit or anything (no one could have known what happened), but it was extremely extremely suspicious to all of us.

Just being honest here.

Edit: I think some congratulations are definitely in order for Order. Its this kind of thing that keeps the game fun for both sides. Well done guys.

We had the same problem suddenly I was surrounded by order. Also I hope destruction has learned a valuable lesson of not leaving sc, I played 1 or 2 sc that when order got a slight lead des would bail and we would be stomped. Also my abilities we lagging quite bad, I was healing and rezing tanks by gate and it would take forever to rez and morale wouldnt work.

I remember someone on our vent saying "WTF the lord is down below!"

We suspected one of the PUG players may have pulled him, i don't know. But at any rate; it was our undoing in the end. Someone had the lord's aggro; and ran out of the room to let him reset. We had the lord down to 10% health and was going down. (In the lord room i might add)

I can see why the perspective of "hax" comes in, but don't be so quick to assume this is the case.

I understand. I'm not assuming anything, but it shows something we've known all along - that is, the Keeps AND now the Fortresses have a great deal of bugs they have yet to fix.

I'm sure you guys nonetheless were aware that something - should - have been wrong lol. Not that it was anyone's fault, but Mythic designed the Lord room to be on a higher level. If you were fighting the Lord on the ground level, something is definitely not right.

Entering the realm of speculation - if someone had not noticed the Lord's disappearance (there were so many of us on the Fort Lord level that you couldnt see the NPCs really), you guys might have taken it and we'd have been so much more bitter about it.

Regardless of what this is, we should at least report it as a bug, so someone in Mythic can look into it and hopefully it will never happen again, regardless of whose fort it is.

I would like to add that maybe the Overlord mechanic is different then a keep lord mechanic in where he WILL come down the ramp instead of staying up on top like normal keep lords.

We have to remember that this is a server first and it may be intended to work this way.

It was a great night, and now all of my doubts of Warhammer have been cleared, I love this game, its simply amazing to see such large amounts of people working together to acheive a goal, on Order and on Destro

TBH, I was kinda bummed when the Lord popped down and I'm glad that we did not down him on that pull, mainly because Destruction didn't know what was happening. It was an obvious bug/glitch and killing the Lord would not have been satisfying (for me at least).
