October 2007 Newsletter

Well the October newsletter is upon us. Despite being a few days late, this newsletter brings both trick and treat. The state of the game post by Mark Jacobs gives us some insight into the games push further into 2008. But the newsletter contains some sweet new information that definately makes me smile. Here's the links.

Sorry, but I have to say it, I am disappointed about one thing already, not content of the newsletter though. City RvR is going to be about balanced instances, 50 versus 50, say it aint so Mythic!

http://www.warhammeronline.com/engli...7_october.html

I really don't like the fact that they want to make RvR balanced inside the cities. Initially they made it seem as if cities wouldn't be about pure mayhem, not instances.

I want to avoid doing Scenarios in all the Tiers, yet the city RvR is going to be about that all over again. So much for the "promise" that city instances wouldn't be the same as Scenarios. I am sorry, but increasing the number doesn't make it any different.

the 50vs50 part worries me....

though it sounds like Shadow Warriors are not going to be a pet class... so White Lions have a hope has a melee pet class.

I do agree. There is the possibility however, that they just fancied having an even round with the guys from Mythic, kinda like a Lan party, or something, but thats grasping at straws...

I think that 50 vs 50 stuff was only a sign-up sheet for the in-house testing of city sacking. Don't think it actually means the process will be instanced as such.

However, I could be wrong (but I sure do hope I'm not.)

I really wouldn't mind having a 50 vs 50 City RvR, so long as it lasts more than 30 minuets.

Anyone else noticing how any thread talking about the newsletter in any aspect is locked for consolidation?

There's nothing in that tiny clip to indicate that city sieges are instanced. It's just a sign up asking for 50 people to play each side during a testing session. Don't try to read more into it than there actually is.
