Warhammer Alliance Poll: Has 1.2 Addressed Your Concerns?

Once again we're back with our weekly poll taking the pulse of the community.

This week, with the 1.2 patch notes now being made public, we're asking the community if you think in the 55 pages of notes that was released if your main concerns with the game have been addressed. Concerns can be anything, from the RvR system, to itemization, your current class and more! As always, keep it productive and make your voice heard, whether it is positive or negative.

Please note that we understand that having not actually tested 1.2 on the PTS, some people may reserve judgment. This is fine - however, please note our poll is in the context of 1.2 on paper/theory and not in practice. ^_^

The notes look far from bad, but some things need a higher priority than Mythic is giving it at the moment. Overall I'm quite happy with them, it's definitely going to improve alot of things. Even though not in the notes I'm most excited about the announcement that they're working on a revamp of the AM/Shaman mechanic.

I haven't tried the patch myself, nor am I subed. I will however; subscribe once 1.2 goes live, so until then I'll have to hold my opinions. The positive side is that the patch notes seem to fix alot of major bugs that were very annoying a couple months back, but we will see.

The patch has addressed most of my concerns, there are only a few things that bug me, and one thing that leaves me really unhappy:

Things that bug me:
1) The WE/WH change, I like then fact that kisses/bullets are mitigatable, but I'm wondering whether they overnerfed the damage.
2) 'Balancing' the WL fetch by making it far inferior to the Marauder equivalent.
3) Dominance- I don't think the system will work with the way people play the game right now.

One thing that REALLY irritates me:
1) Archmages are still utter poo :S

Hard to say since it's all on paper at this point. I can say that nothing I've seen makes me go "WOO-HOO".

Put me down for "I doubt it".

Doesn't fix click to response lag
Doesn't improve overall game performance
Doesn't fix keep/fort tank wall ramp of AoE death
Doesn't address lack luster gear drops that are out of sync with leveling
Doesn't remove the fort player cap
Doesn't remove the city siege player cap

Adds lock pick and bypass defenses without addressing realm population balance - this is gonna be a huge headache for the underdog realms.

Makes locking zones more straight forward but doesn't address population balance issues. Great for the higher population realms, a huge headache and game breaker for the underdog realms. Makes the time of morning you play more important than how you play. Now off hour raids are guaranteed to lock fortresses.

Based on Mythic's track record
Mythic has yet to provide a patch without side effects and bigger bugs (disorient, disable were introduced with the RvR fix all patch). I doubt this patch will fix everything and am pretty positive it will add more issues...

I hope to be proven wrong, but am on record now as feeling it will add more problems.

I've liked what the patch notes have said. By the way they sound, IMHO it is going to be the best patch yet. I like the RvR changes, and am excited about all the upcoming live events. Also the new open party system seems like it will make it much easier to find where "it's at." Although, obviously I know I haven't actually expirienced the changes, but it looks promising. <-- (Just a formality to keep trolls off)

I too am unsubbed, and just come back to look at these forums to see how the game is progressing, and the patch notes look good, until I remember the rounds and rounds of RvE that took place before christmas, which helps me keep my money in my wallet...

Also the things that really drove me away, the boring repetitiveness of the rvr. the only way that can truly be fixed is a complete redesign of keeps and bo's which all i see is them trying to hold on to the same things but introduce "band-aids" to take the focus of the real problem. City sieges, haven't been in one, but I know that they are PvE centric and a complete let down.

Animations for toons are still incredibly lackluster, while almost all abilities are way over the top looks wise. Your toon does the same three moves for twenty-four abilities, that when used, look like they should end the world or at least destroy a small continent.

I loved this game when it first came out, but I was steadily driven away until one day I just decided to stop clicking the button on my desktop. I hope everyone else continues to enjoy the game. For me, no amount of patching could make it fun again.

Fixed alot of good stuffs but is missing one of my biggest concerns.

1.The Fortress Lord exploit pulling to bottom floor (first floor) issues.

I don't know if it's baked in the Pet fixes, but this is one that is my biggest issue on my current gameplay, since the server I play on there is destruction actively using this bug to get to altdorf.

I think this is a gamebreaking bug.

Fixed almost none of my concerns. I play(ed) an AM as my main.

I acknowledge the vast scope of work done on this, but personally, I could have done with work on current classes (am/shaman in particular) over the introduction of two more mdps classes.

For the most part, many improvements are to be made.

Class balance is probably going to be whacked beyond recognition.

Sorcerers get the shaft, yet again I am going to stick with this until we actually see if itemization is adjusted. Giving the current record, "BROKEN as INTENDED" is my current opinion.

My most sincere hope is that ORVR changes help the overall feel of "end game". I also hope they make city seiges a tad more interactive, but I didn't find them in the notes. It looks as if this is yet another band aid in an open-gash wound needing major surgery. I hope I'm wrong.

WAR is beautiful. Playing war up until endgame has been fun. ...then it abruptly stops somewhere along the line. Will 1.2 fix it? ...I'll be playing on test before I decide whether or not to cancel.

1. nerfing Sudden Accusation/Enfeebling strike is just silly. We'll see how much they nerf it by, but it's not an OP spell. It's only OP if the player is incapable of understanding when there are green lasers you you STOP MOVING. If you're nerfing these 2, Gork Sez Stop better recieve a hefty one as well.
2. The white lion fetch nerf was completely uncalled for. the ONLY way it'd be equivalant to the Maruader fetch at 65 feet is if the pet remains untargetable/invulnerable once the spell is cast. I can't just taunt a marauder's arm and cancel the spell, or kill his arm. The white lion fetch NEEDS more range than the marauder one to have an excuse for having half the success rate of the marauder equivalant.
3. Where's the SW/Archmage buff? SHs are FAR superior to their counterparts, shaman are as well. I was really hoping to see that, but it was a big letdown.
