Very simply, it means my knight of the blazing sun has some very tasty targets in RVR now. Its big, its green, and it is not a killing machine against me

Exactly. As soon as the Choppa hits T3 it becomes food for both ranged classes and tanks while AoE healing WPs negate its damage. I'll probably stick things out to T4 just to see if Git to the Choppa' makes a big difference, but I can safely predict that the Choppa is not going to make a significant change in RvR (which is probably a good thing to be honest).

I personally feel pretty effective in T3, even when I was at the bottom of the tier. When I bide my time and take my opening when I wont be focused immediately, things die, and they die fast. I'll agree that WPs are priority #1 though, it isn't just the choppa that can't kill things with 2 of them in the same group

In T4 they're annoying at best in scenarios, but in open RvR where you can have a whole bunch of BW nuking them from far away it'll be a joke.

In scenarios they're more annoying because of the space constraints and PUG factors, but honestly the ONLY thing so far that I hate about them is that god-awful sound that Lots o Choppin makes. Every time I hear that hissing sound I want to grab a baby orc and give it some of Sigmar's Justice.

They have had a HUGE impact on rvr.

Because all the ftm WE's have re-rolled to choppas destruction tier 4 is now empty and we have IC sieges every 2 days now.

They (Being a generalisation but a fairly accurate one) dont care about class or playstyle, they just want big dmg numbers and easy mode kills, thankfully Order hasnt had any classes that attract that kind of gamer for a very long time, so the introduction of Slayers hasnt really affect Order tier 4 at all.

The destruction of .... Destruction, couldnt really have a bigger impact on rvr then that.

Hihi, you are silly. So because of choppas, a MDPS class, you have IC sieges every 2 days?

Don't be stupid.

The only affect I've seen of the new classes in RvR is there are so many of them (Tier 3) that there's not enough of the other classes to go around. Like, half the warband will be choppas then we'll be lucky if we get a healer or two. Not to mention a majority of the players don't know what they're doing. Was hoping the retards would be weeded out before Tier 3.

BW AOE is needed

I find that RVR has always favored ranged DPS, specifically when the battle is BO caps between Warcamps. When you get multiple ranged damage hitting the same target, death is quick. Choppas are the prefered target as many of them tend to run red and leave themselves open to damage. This occurace is only compounded by the tendency for Choppas to run in a group and create a wave of aoe damage (lots of chopin) An AOE fireball is the pefect counter for this type of action. The biggest impact I see of this AOE influx (Slayer/choppa) is that Order finally has a viable MDPS class, with that being said the aoe nature of the choppa class has further nullified the effectiveness of the White Lion. The White Lion's pet does not have much survivability, and it is particularly vulnerable to AOE damge. The new classes have left the battlefield out of balance, with many players ditching tanks/healers to pick up mdps classes. In my experiance the slayer is most effective playing off a tank & WP. This combo offers great synergy as you have damage mitigation, healing and solid dps. The balance issue is player impossed, the only way I see this being changed is if mythic was to add some sort of class balance priority for Sc grouping. Basically the SC would have some criteria for balance as far as healers, tanks etc. This would have no impact on ORVR but I believe it would silently premote team play aspects and give the game a greater dynamic. this would eventually trickle down to ORVR play.

It has greatly effected RvR mainly because there is now one more class people would rather play than a healer. Not sure about the rest of you, but both of the servers I currently play on are desperately lacking healers on the Order side of things in every tier.
With the game not doing so great these days with subscriptions, people don't need another reason to bail.

Um, the class has been open to the general public (not live event completers) for all of...3 days.

So thats why Im seeing a new zerg of BWs, 2-5 per sc, they are rolling BWs because they dont like fotm dmg. Must be something else yes.
On topic: the effect is this: shorter scs.
