The 2009 Mythic Mini-March Madness Tournament!
For those who don't know, the NCAA College Basketball tournament in March in the US has always been marked by Cinderella stories, exciting brackets and matchups, and the best of the schools all around the country. They don't call it "March Madness" for nothing.
In honor of this event, we're holding a Mini-March Madness Tournament, only instead of favorite teams, you're going to be voting on your favorite Mythic Developers! We've seeded 16 of Mythic's finest according to the great Google and our own forum results, and we want you to decide who wins in the tournament! We are going to be running Daily Polls from Today until April 2nd, where we will have our final head-to-head matchup to determine the Mythic Mini-March Madness Champion for 2009! The polls work with majority of votes determining the winner, who will survive another day to match up against someone else. Our first matchup is a battle of the Marks! Vote in the poll in this thread, which closes tomorrow on March 21st!
(1) Mark Jacobs has been, for years, one of the most recognizable faces of Mythic. As the VP/GM, he has led his development team to critical success in Dark Age of Camelot, and now, with Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. Mark's outspoken passion and hands-on interaction with the community has been well-known, and love him or hate him, he is a visible force to be reckoned with in this tournament. Check out his State of the Game address. (4) Mark Davis is the Live Events Lead for Mythic, the brain behind such things as Keg's End, Night of Murder, and more. Mark has come up with some crazy things, from the Battlebrew Backpack to the Marked for Death quests, and he doesn't show any signs of stopping any time soon. Here's a recent interview to get you acquainted. Mark Davis looks like he's got his work cut out for him going up against the top dog in Mythic, but can he turn the tables and win the day against overwhelming odds? Man, I wish I had some sort of admin power that let me see how people voted when it isn't a public poll. I wish to see how Mythic folks vote on these polls, if any of them choose to vote.
