Games Day Baltimore - Land of the Dead Hands-On Gameplay

Hello WAR fans,

We saved the best videos for last, guys and gals. Our Games Day Baltimore coverage video is capped off by actual gameplay footage for Land of the Dead. Mythic's Gabe Amatangelo takes folks from Massively, MMORPG.com, Ten Ton Hammer, and of course, Curse/Warhammer Alliance on a tour of the new content, from PQ's to traps, to boss encounters. This all-star team of players certainly took their share of lumps from the content, but we had a lot of fun doing it - and now, you get to see a sneak peek!

Obviously this is still in testing and not final, so certainly some adjustments will be made before release.

We'd like to thank Mythic for allowing us to produce this footage for the community and give them something to get excited about with Land of the Dead. We also hope that the community will forgive how terrible I am at playing the game.

Yes it does, and i would very much like to know what they are running it on to make it look like that. Is there an engine upgrade as well in 1.3?

The machines were high-quality Alienware machines, but yes, we noticed how absolutely beautiful it looked. Apparently they used a different color palette in addition to what you are saying with regards to the engine, resulting in that.

Considering I have a non-HD consumer video camera and people still see how nice it looks, just imagine what it was like sitting in front of it and playing it. It was nice.

This texture upgrade is that only for Land of the dead zone or are they going to apply this to the rest of the game as well ?

Awful game engine is awful. Need the requirements for Very High to be brought down alot before the game can reach its full potential.
