Yet another trial account thinking about buying the game...

Hello all.
As the title says, I'm a trial account, but the game so far has been fun for the most part, and was considering buying.

However, I have some questions, since I've seen a lot of things I haven't liked, and there are a lot of posters in this forum that made me think twice about the game, as well.

Last saturday I had a pretty good time on norland's orvr. For a couple of hours we capped and lost the objectives over and over against destruction. I got some decent gear for my meele warpriest, died more than logically possible, got rezzed, died again, healed, dps'ed, got my face turn into goo by a lvl 11 choppa along with 4 other guys, and so on. Fun for all ages.

However, ever since then I haven't had that much fun. Scenarios take a LONG time to pop, and besides scenarios and Orvr, there is absolutely nothing to do. Quest are ok, I guess, but WoW kinda left me tired of questing (2 80s and a bunch of alts... ugh). When they do pop, scenarios can be pretty fun, although sometimes when one of the two sides is winning to quickly I think "great, 30 minutes waiting for this and it's over in 3". Maybe that's why I like khaine's embrace better, since it takes a little longer.

So, my questions are these:
Is the game always like this? When, or where (as in server) does the game become really busy? Say what you will about wow (the obvious and most extreme comparision, and also my other mmorpg), but there is always something to do. Be it instances, or bgs (which are nothing compared to war's, but pop!) or arenas, I can always play and do something...

Right now, I'm standing in my warcamp waiting for a sc to pop, or for a wb to form for empty orvr, like last night where 5 of us capped a couple of BO and I got bored.

So, am I doing something wrong? Maybe I'm not in a very active server, perhaps? I'm pretty sure it's not that I need premade groups for scenarios, because I've never seen more than two people from the same guild in a t1 scenario (the only ones I've experienced, with the exception of a couple t2 back in open beta).

Maybe I just need to get out of t1 and start t2?. I already got a couple of toons at rank 10, just waiting for my upgrade.

I've also read that t4, the end game, is pretty bland (mostly, on this forum). Is that true? Will I get to rank 40 and find nothing new to do?

I'm willing to give the game a try. I like it even when I'll be playing it alone, since all my friends play wow. But I don't want to dedicate my free time to a game that offers me nothing at the end game, or a game that's just going downhill because people keep leaving it.

So, honest opinions, please? Should I buy the game, sure that it gets more active later on, or is it always going to be 40 minutes of waiting for 8 of fun (and stucks)?


* Also, I'm from a country where I can buy this kind of things so easily, or pay them. Buying a mmorpg for me needs to me a very well thought decision, since it's both expensive, and hard to do.

Also, my servers are:
Order: gorefang (warpriest, runepriest, catholicpriest)
Destro: Magnus (Squig herder and blackguard)

Scenarios should be popping faster than that. For me it takes 5-10 mins, even on alts off primetime. Also, t4 is more active since there's more people there.

As for things you can do aside from RvR & questing: crafting, hunt ToK unlocks, dungeons, lairs & PQs.

Maybe I'm really in the wrong server, but the queue times are awful, I wrote that first post while waiting for one!
Thanks for the reply, are dungeons and lairs really implemented well in the game? so far I've read very negative things about them, and the only pve experience I have on my free trial is tanking a boss in a beach somewhere. Lady something. It wasn't that fun, tank, spank, loot 1 item for 23 people, be back in 12 hours.

Mostly tank & spank, yeah, though a fair few have special stuff (more as you level up, I think). I've only done one or two lairs, so I can't really comment on those, but I'm pretty sure they're made for less than 23 players LotD will also have more than tank & spank.

Regardless, if you do get the game take a trip to LV. Its beautiful.

Server definatly seems to be an issue for you.

I play on Iron Rock with Toons in T2/T3/T4 all of them are active and SC's pop very often.

As for negative posts on these forums, yea it was so bad that mythic released it own forums =)

I'd also suggest getting in a solid active guild, and or finding a few other players that are online frequently during same times as you, and team up with them. Gank squads can be a lot of fun on an active server.

The game is really still in beta and only getting better, however when I was playing on a semi dead server, the game was just well terrible and had they not offered a transfer I wouldn't still be playing, but with a server with a big pop you'll have plenty to do , especially in SC's.
