Probably since the set does give a 5% bonus to block. Two of the pieces give a 3% reduction in being critted which is absolutely huge. We all know that far from every set has a bonus to block on the shoulder piece, and it does open up for some interesting combining of items from other sets.

But now that I think about it, no piece have God Mode on them! Damn Mythic! (Read: finding things to complain about without thinking first is fun!)

The set bonus gives 5% parry, not block. So I wont be wearing the shoulders which is a pity because they look damn nice.

Double checked this and it's written correct. -3% reduction in being critted.

Yeah... as it is now the only reason i see to carry around a shield, is just incase you accidentally salvage your 2H'er :P

Extremely happy that 2 pieces got 3% crit reduction thingy otherwise I wouldn't use this set at all with those crappy shoulders.

what those shoulders are well good 10 str, 27 melee, 24 tough and 37 wds thats awesome it lets ya stack more strength for a start and provides you with a bucket load of defence

The shoulders are good, but I'm not sure I would give up a set bonus to wear them.
