Games Day Chicago - Full Sovereign Sets For Destruction
Warhammer Alliance was at Games Day Chicago this weekend, extracting nuggets of information for the community!
There isn't as much coverage for Games Day Chicago as we had for Games Day Baltimore, since Mythic's folks were divided between places, but we managed to get someone from Mythic to help rectify an error on my part from the Baltimore footage. You see, I considered the video I took of Order's Sovereign sets to be a bonus - I didn't think it would turn out to be the most viewed video of all my coverage of the event. If I had known that, I would have taken the Destruction sets as well. Well, Destruction players are in for a treat. Here's a video taken on the show floor of all the Destruction Sovereign sets: Thanks again to Ari at Mythic for helping us out! Warhammer Alliance managed to secure a couple interviews as well - but you'll see those in the coming week. |

Those are some nice looking armour sets and weapons!
It might just be me, but only the marauder, choppa and chosen really caught my attention.

It really makes me wonder about the DoK's Cloak, I always thought it looks like this:

Dwarves don't look great either. I think it is tough with small guys.

All the sovereign sets look phenomenal besides DoK and SH, which were both very disappointing.
Personal favorite: CHOPPA, just wow, that set is flippin amazing. Now if only Sovereign was actually obtainable |

I'd say the Squig Herder looked the least appealing - but like Werit said, the modeling of shorter characters doesn't leave much to work with. I didn't see the Bow that goes with the Spear the SH has and have heard it is pretty nice looking - not sure why that didn't appear in the character screen. Still, lots of this stuff looked great. The orcs are sick. Sick I tell you. |

The destruction sets are far superior to the Order sets. I guess you can do more with EVIL! HAHAHA
Too bad for the DOKS ... and to think I just rolled one. LOL The zealot looks like he is about to hatch something!

I like when he says wow thats one good looking shield when they look over the chosen. There are like 4 diffrent chaos shield models in the game and that is the one mostly used.
The SH cloak didnt look as epic as the others and the WE and the Sourcerer looks as any other set. |
