Hammerer Skills and Masteries

Hammerer Mechanic - Momentum, Ancestral Vigor

The Hammerer gains Momentum with every strike and killing blow he lands, and loses Momentum when delivering his most powerful attacks or stopped somehow by an enemy player. If the Hammerer achieves 45 Momentum at any given time, he can activate an ability called Ancestral Vigor, unlocking new abilities and giving him a bonus to his damage.

Momentum: Hammerers can range from 0 - 60 Momentum, auto attacks build 2-5 Momentum, critical strikes build (1.6x) the amount of Momentum rewarded from an ability or attack. Killing Blows increase Momentum by 12 to 18. Gaining Momentum increases all damage output by 1.5% for every 12 Momentum (Max: 7.5% at 60 Momentum). Gaining Momentum also increases the Hammerer's run speed and reduces the chance of being affected by movement impairing effects by 3% for every 12 Momentum (Max: 15% at 60 Momentum). Momentum is lost at a rate of 8-10 every 3 seconds while out of combat and a rate of 3-5 Momentum every second spent snared or rooted.


Skills:

Ancestral Vigor: Gains 20% bonus damage and movement speed for 20 seconds. Stuns and Movement impairing effect durations are reduced by 50%, and all your attacks have a 5% chance of knocking your target down for 2 seconds.
Grants Vigor.
50 AP - 180sec CD
Requires 45 Momentum.

Hammer Slam: A moderately damaging attack.
45 AP - 0sec CD
Builds 5 to 8 Momentum.

Fury of Grimnir: A vicious attack that deals high damage, this attack will ignore 50% of your target's armor if attacking from the sides or rear. If Vigor is active, this attack will ignore 100% of their armor.
30 AP - 10sec CD
Builds 6 to 8 Momentum.

Knee Smash: A hindering attack dealing moderate damage over 5 seconds and snares your target by 60%.
35 AP - 10sec CD
Builds 3 to 5 Momentum.

Armorbreak: Ruptures your target's armor by 15% for 15 seconds. Attacks from you or your groupmates have a high chance of refreshing this debuff's duration upon successful damaging strikes, stacking up to 5 times. (Max: 75% armor reduction) You may only have one Rupture effect active at any given time.
40 AP - 10sec CD
Builds 3 to 5 Momentum.

Powerleak: Ruptures your target's Action Points by 25 over 15 seconds. Attacks from you or your groupmates have a high chance of refreshing this debuff's duration upon successful damaging strikes, stacking up to 5 times. (Max: 125 AP over 15 seconds) You may only have one Rupture effect active at any given time.
40 AP - 10sec CD
Builds 3 to 5 Momentum.

Mindbreak: Ruptures your target's control over magical spells, decreasing magical damage and healing effects they cast by 5% for 15 seconds. Attacks from you or your groupmates have a high chance of refreshing this debuff's duration upon successful damaging strikes, stacking up to 5 times. (Max: 25% Magical/Healing effectiveness reduction) You may only have one Rupture effect active at any given time.
40 AP - 10sec CD
Builds 3 to 5 Momentum.


Deathblow: Deals very high damage to a knocked down target, otherwise deals low damage. For each 4 Momentum above 20, you gain a 5% chance of increasing the duration of the knockdown effect for an additional 2 seconds. (Max: 50% chance at 60 Momentum)
Costs 20 Momentum - 10sec CD

Charge!: Increases your run speed by 50% for 7 seconds. This effect will end if you take any other action.
60sec CD

Break the Lines: You smash the ground with your hammer, knocking back enemies up to 30 feet in front of you.
60 AP - 60sec CD, 1sec Build time

Mouth Full O' Hammer: Deals moderate damage over 5 seconds and silences your target, preventing them from casting spells. If Vigor is active, this attack will deal high initial damage as well.
30 AP - 30sec CD
Builds 7 to 10 Momentum.
Requires target to be facing you.

Earthbreaker: Deals extremely high damage over 3 seconds as long as you maintain concentration.
30 AP per second- 7sec CD
Builds 5 to 6 Momentum per second.
Requires Great Weapon.
Requires Vigor.

Knock ye Silly: Deals 2 disorienting strikes, causing high damage and interupting any ability currently being built up by your target. If Vigor is active, this attack will increase build times by 2 seconds for 6 seconds.
40 AP - 10sec CD
Builds 6 to 8 Momentum.

Shoulder Crush: A hindering blow that causes moderate damage over 5 seconds, disarming your target's melee or ranged weapons.
40 AP - 30sec CD
Builds 5 to 8 Momentum.

Grimnir's Lambast: A befuddling attack that deals high damage over 7 seconds, decreasing their total damage by 20%.
Costs 20 Momentum - 10sec CD
Requires Parry or Disrupt.

Vengeance of Seven Ages: A very high damage attack can strike up to an additional 2 nearby targets. For each 4 Momentum above 40, you gain a 5% chance of knocking your targets down for 3 seconds. (Max: 25% chance at 60 Momentum)Reduces your current Momentum to 0.
Costs 40 Momentum - 60sec CD
Requires Vigor.

Kidney Shot: Deals high damage over 9 seconds, this effect can stack up to 3 times. If Vigor is active, each tick gains a 25% chance to snare your target by 60% for 3 seconds.
30 AP - 0sec CD
Builds 3 to 5 Momentum.

Pulverize: Knocks your target down for 3 seconds. For every 4 Momentum above 20, you have a 5% chance of causing your next damaging attack to critically strike. (Max: 50% chance at 60 Momentum)
Costs 20 Momentum - 30sec CD
Requires Vigor.

Skullcracker: A powerful overhand blow that reduces your target's toughness by (Lvl x 5) for 10 seconds. For each 4 Momentum above 32, you gain a 5% chance of reducing their chance to dodge, parry, block or disrupt attacks by 10% as well. (Max: 35% at 60 Momentum)
Costs 32 Momentum - 5sec CD

Breakthrough: Removes all movement impairing effects from you, and makes you immune to new effects for 10 seconds.
50 AP - 60sec CD

Shockwave: You slam the ground with incredible force, knocking down your target for 4 seconds. Reduces your current Momentum to 0.
65ft range, Costs 20 Momentum - 30sec CD, 2sec Build time

Tactics:
Unstoppable Frenzy: Killing Blows cause your movement speed to increase by 30% for 7 seconds or until you deal your next damaging attack.
Vengeance: Whenever you suffer damage, you gain a 3% damage bonus to your next attack. Stacks up to 5 times.
Sundering Blows: Your attacks that cost Momentum have a chance to cost 25% less Momentum.
Age of Ancestors: Your Ancestral Vigor ability's cooldown is reduced by 30 seconds.
Perpetual Motion: Your Momentum loss from being snared or rooted is reduced by 33%.
Relentless Attacks: Your Momentum gains from special abilities have a 25% chance to generate additional Momentum.
Combat Proficiency: You gain 2 Momentum every 3 seconds while in Combat.



Path of Grungni: This path focuses on beating your opponent into submission with debilitating and disorienting effects, then beating them some more. Hammerers from this calling may prefer to dual wield their hammers.
Path of the Hammer: This path focuses on direct, uncompromising damage from your trusty ol' hammer. Hammerers from this calling may prefer to wield Greathammers.
Path of Grimnir: This path focuses on multiple foe combat and improves your performance while under the influence of Vigor.


Just some ideas, I got tired or I would've made tactics/skills for the 3 paths too :P Feel free to add some good abilities, lets help Mythic out

I say, change the supposed 'mirror configuration;, and let the BG have this mechanic too! Have the delayed classes have a very interesting and innovative mechanic such as this to avenge the fallen brothers.

Was this posts before or after the announcement was made that hammerers wont be in the game?

The Hammerer and Blaguard mechanics sounded great to begin with.. ironicaly I think the OP just copied and pasted most of the Hammerer info that was already given because that's the mechanic they said to begin with, but was said to have been thrown out for some odd reason, I guess because all these mechanics mimiced the WoW Warrior mechanic to a degree...
