For Career Advancement we have:

Hmm.. the skills definitely sound almost exactly like (if not totally like) the "skills" in the TT game. At least, from what I remember.. those are all the "skills" from Mordheim.. But yeah, glad to see they're sticking to the TT values.. I'd be peeved if they went the way of normal MMOs and added dexterity/agility/charisma/etc. to the list of "skills", though I'd call them more attributes than skills...

I'm thinking core will probably just include the basic skills that go along with a class.. specializations will probably be certain types of armour, certain types of weapons (I remember distinctly seeing Great Weapons as a learned skill) and stuff like that. Maybe access to different spell choices and attacks.

Now, secondary.. I'm not so sure about. I'm not sure if that's part of the minor "hybrid" function they're throwing in there, but I'd say that's pretty much it. Actions are probably the spells and attacks and abilities that you can equip before battles. Like say "War Cry, +25 morale, increased damage", that sort of stuff.

Very much like Warhammer, which I like. Intelligence is an interesting addon, and I guess willpower and that will sort of take over from Leadership, which isn't in the game.

I'm also like the career advancement table, especially actions. Perhaps that is how a dwarf will become a Slayer?

I hadn't thought of it that way, but it makes a lot of sense. And Deadpool, I tink your right,I should have put attributes or stats instead.

There actually seems to be more stats than just those. There's a winged boot icon which isn't shown in the skill tree, which most likely represents Agility or Speed. Also, on the character sheet, melee and ranged skill are seperated.

The basis of the stats seem to be taken from the WFRP game.

EDIT - Updated with abilities seen in the Warband's Wizard World video - part 1

EDIT #2 - Instead of taking up half the page with that list, you can now view the abilities here.

Look at that quest, I wonder if it's a public one? It looks massive.

"Destroy 100 Greenskino/100"
"Capture a resource node" (capture points? Hot spots maybe?)
"Capture the herdstone."

I believe "Capture a Resource node" is the title for the objective of "Capture the Herdstone." But yeah, I believe the quests shown to the left of the minimap (rather than below the minimap) are public quests.

There's also "Supply Lines - Collect 100 Greenskin Supply Crates."

Wait it's Destroy 100 Greenskin, 0/100

That makes more sense, and yeah I can see how it's a header now, so that means the Herdstone would be a resource node.

These public quests sound very very cool.

Ah yeah, that makes plenty of sense now. Also.. the way you set up the skills seems to make sense.. though I don't really understand what's the difference specializations and actions is going to be. Since you'd think actions would be special abilities.. like combat abilities.. but the specialization clearly is that of a combat ability.

I suppose I'm just confusing myself, really.

One of the Devs said that you will be able to deviate little from your class to set you apart from the other warrior standing beside you. However he said you will never be ably to learn to the extent of making your warrior a hybrid esque class.

We can infer a great deal more on the rank/tier system now.

1) 10 ranks per tiers, each tier you get to put one in EACH of the 4 categories.
2) Core Tier has exactly 10 skills. Why? This is where the devs said "An Ironbreaker will always be an Ironbreaker." It's the skills you'd normally get automatically in a MMO, except in this one you have some control over order.
3) The others have larger trees, which allows for more customization of your character.

Some more speculation:

Stats do in fact increase with Tiers, there is a skill package being shown. But is there only one skill package in a tier, and would that throw our "40 levels" equivilent to a rougher "4 levels with 10 dings each" stystem. That would mean a Tier 1 RAnk 1 wouldn't have as many skills as a Tier 1 Rank 9, but would be able to compete with him on a stat level as if they were both the same level. But a Tier 2 would have better stats than a Tier 1, thus the zone change. That would be an incredible thing as you know that if you're fighting people who belong in your zone, you can probably take them, and thus the deviancies in level won't effect being able to level entirely on PvP.

Wow, gonna have to check those screenies, those look amazing!

I have a feeling willpower will be connected to morale somehow, and intelligence is might for magicians (makes sense, got to seperate them)

The more I hear about the skill advancement system, the more I get butterflies in my belly. Personally, I'm going to get a horse first (probably in the secondary category?) so that I can move and explore faster. I like exploring, but don't want it to get tedious. There will be endless advancement in this game, it sounds like, which rules. I haven't played WoW, but supposedly, lv. 60 is a snap to get to, and this sounds the opposite. To be a "master" warrior, you will need to invest serious time into your character.

From a write-up on The Warband about the Wizard World demo:
Quote:
Separated into four tabs, ‘Core’, ‘Specialization’, ‘Secondary’, and ‘Actions’, it was the full layout of the skills that a character could achieve while in tier one (tier two-four are not activated yet). The ‘Core’ section of the Career Advancement screen is what you would expect it to be; everything that has to do with the main career path you chose. If you are a Shaman then it lists skills relating to Shamans, if you are a Hammerer it lists skills relating to Hammerers and so on.

The ‘Specialization’ screen is also exactly how it sounds. This screen will allow you to further specialize further into making your character more unique from others.

The ‘Secondary’ section is for all of those options that aid you in battle tactically. By this I do not mean they are tactics, but will help you in battle. If you were for instance facing beasts on a regular basis, you could select a skill in +2 strength when attacking beasts, and so forth.

The ‘Actions’ tab will open up the Actions browser, where you can view your list of skills and drag them to the Actions bar for easier hot-key access.
Sounds like "Actions" isn't actually specialization at all, rather just a list of your current abilities.

Updated the abilities in post #5, as well.

During the vid when he's playing as a Goblin Shaman, there's a list of skills on the right side.

Some of the stuff I saw was:
Life Transfer
DoT Lifetap
"baby" liftap (not sure if it says baby or not)
Cloud of Go
Sprint

I can't quite make out the others. But that looks like that might be how the Shaman Heals, via life transfers, not "standard" healing.

And a DoT lifetap... that's just evil, heh.

And when he's playing the Black Orc, I can see:
Swing
Sprint
'ead Butt
**Mighty Ch... (can't read all that)
Taunting Str... (think it's cut off)
Tendon Ripper

Added those (and more) to post #5. Lots of (?)'s though, because it's pretty hard to read.
