» Weekly Poll Analysis: RvR and Land of the Dead |
|
Jul 13, 2009 - 6:00 PM - by Anglakhel
|
On Monday, July 6th, the WAR Community Poll asked "What type of impact has Land of the Dead had on RvR on your server?" Possible choices for the poll included: Very Positive, Positive, Neutral, Negative, and Very Negative. WAR community members were able to vote on the Poll on both Warhammer Alliance and WAR Vault.
This week, an amazing 849 people responded to the poll (Vault 265, WA 584). This is by far the largest response we've had on a poll topic in several months. You'd have to go back to our poll in early April on WAR Customer Service Satisfaction to find more people taking the time to respond to the... [Read More]

A Fan's "State of the Game"
To say that it has been an eventful month for WAR and Mythic would be something of an understatement. In the past few weeks we have seen the release of Patch 1.3, heralding in the Land of the Dead, the largest content expansion thus far in WAR's evolution. We have gotten a three part Executive Producer's Letter from Jeff Hickman, an announcement that EA is creating a RPG/MMO Group out of Mythic and BioWare that will be headed by Dr Ray Muzyka of BioWare, and finally, we learned that Mark Jacobs has left Mythic and that Rob Denton will be taking Mythic's helm.
All things considered, we've had quite an important month for WAR.
The State of the Game and the Executive Producer’s Letter do a good job of conveying what Mythic thinks are the main concerns for the player-base, but there is a need for fans and players of WAR to provide a way to convey their own thoughts on the game... [Read More]

Warhammer Alliance News
BioWare Co-Founder Dr Greg Zeschuk. Just when you thought it was safe...here's more talk about BioWAAGH! We all know the BioWAAAGH announcement brought out plenty of excited opinions. In this interview Dr Zeschuk offers up more insight and comments on the BioWAAGH group. Will Bioware be using Mythic's MMO experience to fine tune any projects they might be working on. "Oh yeah, without a doubt." And then there's this gem of a question, "Have you been asked to help give it (Warhammer Online) a popularity boost by association?" Dr. Zeschuk was gracious enough to give that question the respect it so truly deserves (none). Read on, and put your troubled minds at ease! "Oh no, there absolutely is still BioWare and Mythic, we're not merged at all." ... [Read More]

» Introducing: The WAR Community Newsletter |
|
Jul 08, 2009 - 5:10 PM - by Avien
|
We here at Warhammer Alliance are proud to announce our newest content initiative: the WAR Community Newsletter.
As with most of our content features, the Community Newsletter will be mainly driven by the community of the game and of our forums. This time, that means tha t the bulk of the content featured in the community newsletter will not be written by us of the WA staff, but by the community itself.
The way we imagine it will work is thus:
Each community newsletter will have a certain theme, such as "WAR's endgame" or "State of the Game". These themes will be announced 3 or 4 weeks prior to the Community Newsletter's release. At the beginning of the month, community members can send in ideas, sketches and outlines on what they want to write for that month's community newsletter to the Content Leads of WA. We will then choose the best ideas and inform the entrants whether their draft/sketch has been chosen. ... [Read More]

» Eurogamer Interview - BioWare Co-Founder Dr Greg Zeschuk on DragonAge and Mythic |
|
Jul 08, 2009 - 3:12 PM - by Anglakhel
|
BioWare co-founder, Dr Greg Zeschuk gave an interview to Eurogamer about DragonAge, BioWare's upcoming single player RPG. It's an interesting read on another quality BioWare product. I'm excited to see how the Toolset has evolved since Neverwinter Nights. It promises a lot of fan generated content.
However, of direct interest to WAR fans, on Page 4 of the interview, Dr Zeschuk fields a couple questions about the new relationship between BioWare and Mythic.
Quote:
Eurogamer: How have things changed for BioWare since the Mythic merger? How has it affected your day-to-day operations?
Dr | ... [Read More]
